July 14th, 2010Trip to burns
June 19th, 2010Day 1
Leave Vancouver, WA for Burns, OR
the day’s gray, cold and wet…
It’s been a really long, cold and wet spring in the Willamette valley
off we go away from the cold wet weather to sunnier sky’s
we approach mount hood and. Begin our climb to the top
hood, cold and wet
Traveling down in the afternoon we begin to see beams of sunlight peer through the trees
the rest of the day we enjoy filling our minds and spirit with the simple pleasures of sunlight
Day 2
drive from burns south along 205 until Frenchglen where the attack of the killer mosquitoes chased us off in quick retreat
we drive to bend where we were greeted by dark skies and cooler temperatures. The rest of the evening is spent recovering from two days hard driving.

Photographed some nice landscapes and cloud formations and some simple living conditions.
Day 3
Started the day by going to Pilot Butte in Bend, Oregon. Heavy overcast and rain clouds danced around all day until the afternoon when it finally decided to water the dessert.
Took the dogs to a dog park so they could run free in the fenced in area. DUST everywhere!
the Dogs were in heaven. Got some great photos of my dog Buzz running and chasing the other dogs. Will post later when I return to the office.
Looking out the main lobby window I can see the sun setting over the mountain range as the storm clouds hover just to the east of the mountains. The contrasts between the highlights of the rim lighting and dark clouds set a great stage.
Tomorrow may be a wonderful day! Let’s hope for warm and sunny weather tomorrow and that these storm clouds pass by.
Day 4
Woke up early at 6 am after crashing at 1 am. Went and had breakfast then back to sleep until 10am.
Took the dogs potty and then off to the dog park. Ran the dogs hard and photographed a few of their friends they met.
Dropped the dogs off at the hotel, then off to lunch.
Afternoon was spent driving through Sun River Resort exploring. Stopped at the High Desert Museum photographed some animals and objects at the facility.
The sunset was streaming through the lobby window back lighting a plant by the window.
Grabbed some quick shots before it ended. A blue glass flower pot decoration was behind the plant. The blue popped the red kidney shape plant and really kicks up the visual senses.
Chillin at the Beach!

April 9th, 2009New Background in Studio
April 5th, 2009Richard just finished painting the new background last night… He’s amazing with an airbrush… It’s a treat watching him work his magic.
I look forward using this new background with high school seniors. I have it up in the front lobby of my studio and the kids are going nuts over it… I have a senior portrait session tomorrow both outside and inside. I’m planning to put her up against the drop for some of the studio shots.
Here’s the artist posing in front of his new creation…
We are planning more drops in the near future. He will be painting the next drop in the my studio located at the Three Rivers Mall in Kelso, WA… You’ll want to stop in and see this guy work… It’s a true treat…
Check back here on my blog for details on when he’ll be here.. I will posted it here so you won’t miss it…
